Two Ponds Mastiffs

Two Ponds Mastiffs, run by Gary and Niki Sayre, has been raising mastiffs on a farm in Pauline, South Carolina for over 25 years. Located in the Upstate region near Spartanburg, the program focuses on health-tested, well-socialized English mastiff puppies produced in small numbers on a 150-acre property.

Each puppy is raised with hands-on attention from whelping through the transition to a new home. The on-site facilities include oversized kennels suited to giant-breed dogs, a heated two-room puppy house with a whelping area, and a fenced yard where young pups begin the housebreaking process. Adult dogs have the run of the farm, with a nearly one-acre corral available at night.

The breeding program follows guidelines established by the Mastiff Club of America, and all puppies receive veterinary health clearances before going home. The kennel's bloodlines trace back to a foundation stud representing 14 generations of unbroken champion ancestry. Before turning to mastiffs, Gary also spent years raising and training hunting Labrador retrievers, bringing a broad background in working and family dogs to the program.
