Twin Lakes Stables

Twin Lakes Stables in Moulton, Alabama, is a Hackney horse operation run by Hannah Padgett on a 50-acre property in Lawrence County, about 45 minutes from Huntsville in the Tennessee Valley.

The stable's roots go back to 1999, when Hannah's grandmother purchased the land and the family converted an old cattle barn into a horse facility. What began with just two stalls grew steadily through the early 2000s as Hannah took over as an Amateur Owner Trainer while still in high school. After rebuilding the facility in 2019, Twin Lakes now features a 60 x 120 indoor arena, a 100 x 200 outdoor arena, a 50-foot round pen, multiple pastures for daily turnout, and an upper barn with full hay and feed storage.

Hackney horses are among the breeds central to the program, alongside American Saddlebreds and Morgans, with the stable's show team having competed across disciplines including fine harness, pleasure driving, roadster, and park.
