Turnabout Australian Cattle Dogs
Turnabout Australian Cattle Dogs is run by Amy Turner and Justin Myrick on a small ranch in Elbert County, Colorado, where they breed AKC-registered Australian cattle dogs. The property gives dogs room to roam and is set up with both breeding and training in mind, southeast of Denver near Colorado Springs.
The program has a strong show record built over many years. Amy's first bred-by-exhibitor champion, GCH CH Turnabout A League of Their Own, earned her Grand Championship at a notably young age for the breed and went on to produce multiple champions and group-placing offspring. More recently, dogs like GCH CH Turnabout On The Sly earned Grand Championship titles with multiple major wins under Justin's handling, and GCH Turnabout The Untouchables finished his Grand Championship in 2023 with multiple National Owner-Handled Series Group 1 wins.
Beyond the show ring, the kennel aims to produce Australian cattle dogs suited to working, performance, and companion homes alike, and puppies from the program have gone on to compete across a range of venues. Health testing is reflected in OFA records documented on individual dog pages. Retired show dogs from the program are also placed in family homes.
