TS Ruckman

TS Ruckman breeds Dorper sheep in Mount Vernon, Ohio, Knox County and the nearby Columbus area. It has been raising these hardy animals for over a decade with registration through national registries and routine health screening for parasites and foot health. The flock grazes on rotating pastures supplemented by trace minerals, and lambs spend their early weeks under close supervision to encourage friendly temperaments.

Several sheep from the flock have placed at county and regional fairs, though the emphasis remains on maternal instincts and placid disposition. During lambing season each spring the farmstead hosts a low-stress birthing program that prioritizes gentle handling. The farmstead’s hands-on approach and simple shelter design reflect a belief in letting animals express natural behaviors in a calm setting.
