Triangle Hobby Ranch, run by Kevin Guthmiller, raises lowline and White Park cattle in Carrington, North Dakota, a small farming community in the heart of central North Dakota roughly 90 miles northeast of Bismarck.

The ranch focuses on compact, grass-efficient cattle suited to hobby farms and small acreages — the kind of operation where lowline cattle for sale in North Dakota can appeal to buyers who want quality beef without the land demands of conventional breeds. A priority of the program is producing calves with low birthweights, so cows calve without assistance.

White Park and British White cattle are also part of the herd; the ranch has selectively bred away much of the horn trait over time while still maintaining a few horned animals. The horned White Park animals serve a practical purpose, acting as watch cattle against predators such as coyotes.
