Trail-Light Farm

Trail-Light Farm raises Shire horses in Seville, Ohio, located in Medina County and northeastern Ohio near Cleveland. It has bred Shire horses for many years and is a member of the American Shire Horse Association, following recommended health screenings for all breeding stock and adhering to association guidelines for conformation evaluation.

Owner Daniel Todd Riedel draws on hands-on experience managing draft horses in breeding and training. It manages a pasture-based environment with daily handling to develop calm, confident foals. Its breeding program focuses on strong bone structure and willing temperament, traits prized by draft enthusiasts.

Its approach blends time-tested stable management with gentle-handling techniques. Breeding stock live in spacious stalls that open to turnout paddocks, giving horses access to fresh air year-round.
