Tracy Cattle

Tracy Cattle, Chianina cattle, Gordon, NE, Sheridan County and the Nebraska Sandhills near Scottsbluff, are managed by Justin and Kaylee Tracy. They have been raising Chianina cattle for more than 15 years and maintain health screenings through the American Chianina Association.

Their herd grazes on rotational pastures that follow local forage cycles, ensuring cattle develop strong feet and natural foraging behaviors. Calves are introduced early to family dogs and regular handling to promote calm temperaments under ranch conditions. Operating on land in the family since the 1950s, they apply selection practices focused on maternal strength and balanced muscling. Breeding females receive routine ultrasounds and genetic indexing to support calving ease and herd longevity. The ranch follows low-stress handling with planned shade and water access to encourage natural movement.
