Timbersiberians

Timbersiberians is a small home-based cattery in Shediac, New Brunswick, raising Siberian cats on the shores of Atlantic Canada. Run by Kayla Aleksic and her family, the program grew out of a personal connection to the breed — her husband encountered Siberians through a friend in Serbia, and the experience led the family to bring the breed to Atlantic Canada.

Siberians for sale from a registered cattery in New Brunswick are not easy to come by, and Timbersiberians draws families from across the Atlantic region. The cattery is registered with TICA (The International Cat Association), and kittens are raised fully in-home rather than in a separate facility. Cats live alongside the family, greeting them at the door, sharing the couch, and sleeping in the bedroom — an upbringing that keeps them closely socialized from an early age.

Shediac sits along the Northumberland Strait, about 25 kilometres east of Moncton, and the family-centered atmosphere of the town reflects how the cattery is run — as a household operation where the cats are treated as part of daily family life.
