The Perfect Corgi

The Perfect Corgi raises Pembroke Welsh corgis and Cardigan Welsh corgis on a working ranch in Warrenton, Missouri, about an hour west of St. Louis along Interstate 70. Maureen Melton runs the program as part of a team roping family, meaning the dogs are raised around horses, livestock, and the rhythms of an active farm rather than in a kennel environment.

The corgis live freely on more than 100 acres, and all puppies are born and raised inside the home. The dogs are not kenneled; they are kept as household pets while also pulling their weight as working stock dogs on the property. DM (degenerative myelopathy) genetic status is tracked and disclosed for each pairing, with litters noted as DM clear or DM carrier through parentage testing.

Both fluffy and standard-coat Pembroke Welsh corgi puppies for sale in Missouri have come out of the program, along with blue merle and other color variations. The focus spans dogs suited to show or agility work as well as those placed as family companions.
