Tesch Hillside Ranch
Tesch Hillside Ranch raises Scottish Highland cattle and mini Highland crosses in Bells, TX, in Grayson County and North Texas near Sherman. The ranch also raises mini donkeys and Gypsy horses alongside its cattle.
The herd began with three weanlings in 2021 and has since grown to more than 65 head of cattle. Highlands are not the first breed many people expect to see in Texas, and the ranch has built its herd here in the Texas heat. Calves and foals born on the ranch are offered through its livestock sales, and new births are announced as they arrive.
Beyond cattle sales, Tesch Hillside Ranch hosts ranch events and tours, and it offers mini Highland cow rentals and experiences for weddings and special events. It also runs a coffee business called Highland Hill Coffee Co. Cattle are social herd animals that do best with steady routines, room to graze and regular attention. Buyers in Bells and the surrounding countryside can find Highland stock raised close to home.
