Teaberry Alpaca Farms
Teaberry Alpaca Farms raises huacaya alpacas in Catawba, Virginia, in the heart of the Roanoke Valley region. Run by Pam Schiele as a multigenerational, family-owned operation, the farm has built its herd from animals sourced across the country, producing a wide range of colors.
The program has earned recognition on the show circuit, with several animals taking banner wins and the farm placing fourth nationally in the Alpaca Owners Association's alpaca fleece program rankings in 2022. The farm also operates its own fiber mill, processing alpaca fiber into yarn and finished goods sold through its on-site store.
Beyond alpaca sales in Virginia, Teaberry offers breeding services and mentoring for those interested in starting their own operation. The farm takes an open-door approach to the land itself, welcoming visitors for farm tours and other on-site experiences in the Virginia countryside outside Catawba, roughly 30 miles northwest of Roanoke.
