Syncope Falls, fainting (myotonic) goats, Hiwassee, VA, Bland County and the Blue Ridge Highlands near Roanoke. William Kolb has been breeding fainting (myotonic) goats for more than a decade, maintaining registrations with national goat associations and following recommended health screening protocols.

Each doe and kid is raised in a pasture-based environment with regular socialization and nutritional monitoring to support strong bones and gentle temperaments. The farm’s roots go back two generations, combining traditional husbandry with attention to temperament, and recent buyers note the calm nature of the herd. Breeding decisions prioritize sound conformation and calm dispositions, ensuring offspring are well-suited for homestead and hobby farming. Animals graze on mixed grass and clover pastures and receive targeted minerals under veterinary guidance, with kids receiving their first wellness exam within weeks of birth. Lactating does are milked by hand twice daily, producing rich milk often shared with neighboring farms for artisanal cheese.
