Sunshinragdols
Sunshine Ragdolls, run by Kerry Strassenreiter, breeds ragdoll cats out of Westbury, New York, on Long Island about 25 miles east of New York City. The program holds an active TICA registration and a New York State cattery license, reflecting a commitment to meeting both breed-association and state standards.
Health testing is a central part of the program. All breeding cats are genetically tested and confirmed clear of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) and polycystic kidney disease (PKD), and are also SNAP and blood tested for FIV and FeLV. Ragdoll kittens for sale from this New York cattery are matched to families individually rather than by first-come-first-served selection, with Kerry working with each adopter on gender, color, and markings when possible.
Kittens are raised in a home environment and socialized before going to their new families, and Kerry provides detailed guidance on multi-pet introductions and early care to support a smooth transition.
