Struthoff Ranch
Struthoff Ranch raises registered Texas longhorn cattle about 25 miles northeast of San Antonio, in the Texas Hill Country. Lynn and Josie Struthoff have been running the program for more than 26 years, operating across ranches in Wilson and Comal counties.
The ranch focuses on conformation, color, and the horn characteristics that define top-quality Texas longhorns, breeding cows to carefully selected herd sires with well-documented pedigrees. Over the years, notable sires used in the program have included Habanero, Hollywood Chex, Dixie Goer, JK Sterling 262, SR Madden 552, and Hubbell's Rio 007. The ranch's own bulls carry impressive horn measurements, reflecting the emphasis on horn development that defines much of the registered Texas longhorn for sale market in Texas.
Beyond the cattle program, the Wilson County Ranch farms approximately 1,060 acres of fertilized and irrigated Coastal Bermuda hay, and the ranch also runs a Brangus, Tiger Stripe, and Charolais cow-calf operation on that same property.
