Steneko Papillons

Steneko Papillons, papillons, Alaska, AK, is based in Southcentral Alaska near Anchorage. Stephanie Koeniger has been involved in papillon breeding for more than a decade and maintains membership in local and national breed clubs.

All breeding adults undergo health screening for patellar luxation, heart murmurs and eye conditions before joining the program. Puppies grow up indoors with daily socialization, gentle handling and supervised outdoor play for balanced development. The kennel includes a secure fenced yard and quiet indoor areas where litters learn to interact with guests, other pets and household routines. The aim is to produce papillons with friendly temperaments and sound conformation that adapt easily to family life.

Several dogs from recent litters have earned ribbons at local shows and are welcomed in school and senior visits as therapy companions. Koeniger provides guidance for new owners on grooming, training and nutrition based on years of hands-on experience.
