Starfire Gypsies

Starfire Gypsies, Gypsy vanners, Bangor, CA, in Eastern Ontario near Kingston, raises well-socialized horses. Samantha Vansickle has over ten years of experience in selective breeding and follows American Gypsy Vanner Horse Society guidelines including regular veterinary soundness exams, vaccination schedules and genetic clearances.

Each foal is raised in pasture herds with daily handling, social exposure to farm routines and custom nutrition plans tailored to growth and structure. The farm’s stallions and mares live in a low-stress setting with ample turnout and individualized care through partnership with local veterinarians and farriers. Several offspring have performed in regional shows and served as therapy mounts, noted for their calm temperaments and sturdy build.

The facility includes under-cover paddocks, a riding arena and dedicated foaling stalls to ensure safety through all stages of development. The farm allows observation of herd interactions and hands-on visits with foals before they join their new homes.
