Spring Creeks Cattle Co

Spring Creeks Cattle Co, run by Bob Mitchell and family in Wauzeka, Wisconsin, raises Limousin cattle in the Driftless Region of southwest Wisconsin, not far from the regional hub of Prairie du Chien. The Mitchell family started farming in 1974 and entered the seedstock business with Limousin in 1992, drawn to the breed for its carcass merit. Over the years the herd expanded to include Angus, Red Angus, and LimFlex cattle as well.

The operation is a multi-generational family partnership with each family member carrying a defined role across crops, trucking, and cattle. Younger members of the family are actively involved in genetic selection, calf care, and showing cattle at county fairs, regional events, and national breed association shows. That long-term focus on genetics reflects a consistent aim to meet the demands of commercial beef producers looking for Limousin cattle for sale in Wisconsin.

Cattle are raised through to finished weight on the farm, with a portion retained each year as bulls and replacement heifers. The program also directs a share of finished animals into direct-to-consumer beef sales by the quarter, half, or whole.
