Southern Oaks Kennel

Southern Oaks Kennel, breeder of Basset hound, Cavalier King Charles spaniel and mastiff in Pavo, GA, near Valdosta in south-central Georgia. Candy Parrish has more than a decade of experience, is active in national breed clubs and follows recommended health screening protocols for hips, hearts and eyes.

Puppies are born and raised in a family home with enclosed runs, a climate-controlled nursery and daily socialization with children and resident dogs. The kennel’s approach balances traditional husbandry with gentle handling to encourage confidence and well-mannered behavior before new homes.

Mastiffs are known here for a calm, protective nature, while Basset hounds delight in their keen noses and Cavalier King Charles spaniels thrive as affectionate companions. Several alumni have participated in local conformation events or found roles as therapy animals in nearby care facilities. Candy Parrish offers each owner ongoing guidance on nutrition, grooming and early training to support a smooth transition.
