Shining R Ranch

Shining R Ranch, run by Brad Ratliff, raises registered fainting (myotonic) goats in the Belton area of Missouri, south of Kansas City. The goat operation is based near Peculiar, Missouri, putting it within easy reach of buyers throughout the greater Kansas City metro.

The ranch is part of a much larger operation spanning roughly 1,300 acres across Missouri and Kansas. After working with other meat goat breeds, the program shifted to fainting goats for their reputation as low-maintenance, manageable animals. All goats are registered and 100% purebred in bloodline, making Shining R Ranch a reliable source for registered fainting goat breeders and buyers in Missouri.

The herd typically produces around 35 to 40 kids each spring season. Border collies are also raised on the property and used as working stock dogs alongside the goat operation.
