Sennett Cattle Company

Sennett Cattle Company has been raising cattle in Waynetown, Indiana since 1890, making it a fifth-generation family operation with roots that run well over a century deep. Founded by Clarence Sennett, the farm has grown into a highly diversified cattle and grain program now led by Clark Sennett and his son Lance, who returned to the operation after earning a degree in Animal Science from Purdue University.

The farm sits in west-central Indiana, roughly 45 miles northwest of Indianapolis, and manages a substantial cow-calf operation that forms the core of the breeding program. Registered Limousin cattle are part of a multi-breed cowherd that also includes Angus, Hereford, Simmental, and Shorthorn, giving buyers of Limousin for sale in Indiana access to a program with broad genetic depth. The operation maintains both show-focused and commercial herds, which Lance Sennett has described as intentionally separate — each managed according to the goals of that segment of the market.

Sennett Cattle Company earned regional recognition through the 2008 Environmental Stewardship Award, sponsored by the National Cattlemen's Foundation, for implementing rotational grazing, manure management, wildlife habitat restoration, and minimum-till farming practices across its roughly 7,000-acre operation. The family is an active member of the Indiana Cattlemen's Association, and Clark Sennett has been honored as a Master Farmer by Farm Progress Companies for his contributions to the beef industry.
