Scotia Acres Alpacas
Scotia Acres Alpacas is a family-run alpaca farm in Lumberton, New Jersey, operated by the Campbell family in Burlington County, roughly 20 miles southeast of Philadelphia. The farm spans 72 acres and has maintained one of the larger alpaca herds in New Jersey, with the herd historically numbering over 100 animals spread across three barns with ample pasture for daily grazing.
Jim Campbell Jr. manages day-to-day farm and property operations, with other family members involved in special projects, financial oversight, and fiber production. The setup reflects a hands-on, multi-generational approach to raising alpacas for sale in New Jersey and the surrounding mid-Atlantic region.
The farm raises both huacaya and suri alpacas, including breeding stock and herdsires. Scotia Acres also processes its fleece into finished goods — yarn in natural colors, raw fiber, roving, and handcrafted items — all available through an on-farm store. Farm visits are offered by appointment for those interested in seeing the herd and operation in person.
