Schlauch's Exotics LLC

Schlauch’s Exotics LLC, miniature zebu, operates in a rural Midwestern setting near Chicago. The herd is registered with the American Miniature Zebu Association and undergoes regular health screenings for fertility, parasite control and genetic traits.

The cattle graze on rotational pasture with seasonal hay and have access to insulated shelters, shaded loafing areas and seasonal ponds that encourage natural foraging. Founder Vincent Schlauch has bred zebu for over 15 years, applies sustainable practices by growing feed on the farmstead and shares insights at regional livestock forums. All animals follow a socialization schedule from calfhood to support calm temperaments. Each calf is halter-trained by three months to facilitate handling and safe transport.
