Salus Farm breeds Katahdin sheep in Fulton, MD, in Howard County and the Baltimore metro near Baltimore.

Glen Henshaw Black and Angela Black have been raising sheep for more than a decade, maintain registry membership and follow recommended health testing protocols. Their flock grazes on well managed pasture with regular rotations and access to sheltered barn space year round. Lambs grow up alongside adults in small groups to promote calm handling and early socialization.

As a family owned operation with farm roots in the region, Salus Farm offers a view into sustainable sheep management. Visitors have noted the approachable nature of the animals and the clear emphasis on animal health and temperament. Careful record keeping and selective breeding help preserve strong maternal traits and adaptability in their Katahdin lines. During lambing season they reserve individual pens for careful monitoring of ewe and lamb health.
