Rw Goldens

RW Goldens, run by Becky Welch, breeds AKC-registered golden retrievers in Colchester, Illinois, a small community in western Illinois roughly an hour from the Quad Cities. The program is family-run and focuses on producing well-socialized goldens suited to home life.

The kennel maintains an active interest in AKC conformation, with several dogs in the program having earned or pursued championship titles. One homegrown male has competed in the show ring while also working toward companion event titles, and at least one female born from an early litter finished her AKC championship before returning home as part of the breeding program. A number of dogs co-owned through the program have produced AKC champions as well.

Beyond the show ring, the Welch family participates in AKC companion events, and at least one of their goldens has been recognized for comfort dog work at a local university.
