Rockstardolls

Rockstardolls, run by Melissa Firestone, has been raising ragdoll cats in Roanoke, Virginia since the early 1990s, making it one of the longer-running ragdoll programs in the state. Roanoke sits in the heart of Virginia's Blue Ridge region, roughly an hour southwest of Lynchburg, and those looking for ragdoll kittens in Virginia will find this cattery well within reach of much of the mid-Atlantic.

The program is registered with TICA and holds memberships in the Ragdoll Fanciers Worldwide Club, Ragdoll International, and the Ragdoll Fanciers Club International. Health is a documented priority: kittens are bred from lines tested HCM-negative through the UC Davis Genetics Laboratory.

A notable focus of the program is the mink and sepia ragdoll, two rarer coat types produced in limited numbers each year alongside traditional ragdolls. Visitors are welcomed by appointment, and Melissa is selective about placement, asking prospective owners about their experience with cats before a kitten goes home.
