Riggs Farms, Shorthorn cattle, Connersville, IN, Fayette County and the Whitewater Valley near Indianapolis. Sam Riggs has raised registered Shorthorn for over 30 years and maintains membership in the American Shorthorn Association with annual herd health testing and genetic screening.

The cattle graze on rotational pasture and follow a balanced feeding program using hay harvested on site supplemented with mineral mixes tailored to breed standards. Calves are introduced to farm routines from birth through daily handling and live in a barn equipped with fresh bedding, clean water and shelter. The operation dates back three generations and several herd sires have won ribbons at the Indiana State Fair for conformation.

Riggs Farms regularly supplies breeding stock to family farms across the Midwest. Biosecurity protocols include quarantine for new animals and routine veterinary inspections to support herd wellness.
