Renascent has been raising welsh springer spaniels in Social Circle, Georgia, with over 45 years of combined experience behind the program. Owner Meghen Riese-Bassel is a second-generation welsh springer spaniel breeder, having previously worked under the Statesman prefix, and is also an AKC approved judge of all Sporting breeds. Social Circle sits about 45 miles east of Atlanta, making Renascent one of the more established sources for welsh springer spaniel puppies in Georgia.

The program holds AKC Breeder of Merit status and active membership in the Welsh Springer Spaniel Club of America. Health testing covers hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia, and eye abnormalities, with all results shared publicly. Pedigree analysis is also used to navigate conditions such as epilepsy and glaucoma where no reliable genetic test currently exists. Puppy families, whether from show or companion placements, are asked to complete hip and elbow evaluations to help build the collective health data for the breed.

To strengthen the gene pool and introduce carefully selected traits, Renascent has conducted extensive importing and exporting with kennels in England, Wales, Sweden, Finland, Norway, and Australia and New Zealand. Socialization is prioritized from an early age, and the program typically produces one to two litters per year, with deliberate thought given to each pairing.
