RedHawk Highlands
RedHawk Highlands is a breeder of beef cattle and heritage/Native influenced cow/calf in Cass City, MI, Tuscola County and the Thumb region near Saginaw. Dale and Catherine Muter have more than a decade of experience and participate in regional breeding associations and health screenings for bovine respiratory disease and genetic traits. Calves are raised on open pasture with rotational grazing, sheltered barns, and daily hands-on attention to foster steady growth and early socialization.
The farm’s herd includes foundation bloodlines known for adaptability and maternal strength, with several cows tracing back to farm families in mid-Michigan. Visitors often note the calm temperament and solid frame of the animals and the farm’s down-to-earth approach to livestock stewardship. Farm updates and photo posts reflect the breeding cycle and animal development. The Muters trace the farm’s roots to four generations of Michigan ranchers, and select bulls that have placed at county fairs for muscle development.
