Red Baron Farm

Red Baron Farm is a breeder of Shire horses in East Hampton, CT, in Middlesex County near Hartford, set on a family-run acreage. The farm partners with the American Shire Horse Society and follows thorough health screening protocols for breeding stock, including regular veterinarian evaluations and annual vaccinations. Animals live in rotational pasture paddocks with access to a timber frame barn and enjoy daily hands-on care to foster trust and consistent handling from foalhood.

Stacey Golub established the farm to preserve the gentle strength and versatile temperament of draft horses, with a focus on durability for both farm work and driving. Foals receive early imprinting and harness exposure under supervision, ensuring they adapt smoothly to the routines of carriage driving and light draft tasks.
