Radost Borzoi

Radost Borzoi raises borzoi in Spring Creek, Nevada, a community in the northeastern part of the state near Elko, in the shadow of the Ruby Mountains. The kennel is owned by Lynda Cattoni Sarman, who brought her first borzoi home in January 1997 and has been breeding the dogs since.

The kennel sits on just shy of 38 acres at the family's ranch, giving the dogs room to move and access to both indoor and outdoor spaces. Adults and puppies are housed in an attached building with raised beds and dog doors rated for extreme cold, along with a dedicated day yard and a larger six-foot performance yard.

Lynda has held AKC Breeder of Merit status since 2011 and has been a life member of the Borzoi Club of America since 1999 and of the Borzoi Club of Northern California since 1997. Dogs in the program are health tested through OFA for degenerative myelopathy, cardiac, and thyroid conditions, as well as CERF eye evaluations and Embark DNA panels. The program focuses on conformation, stable temperament, and placing borzoi puppies in Nevada and beyond into carefully vetted homes. Co-bred dogs from Radost lines have competed successfully in AKC show rings, lure coursing, and international events including Crufts.
