Paul Bowerman

Paul Bowerman, Percheron breeder in Spickard, MO, serves northwest Missouri and the Kansas City area.

He has guided Percheron bloodlines for over two decades and holds membership in the Percheron Horse Association of America, with routine health screenings, annual farrier care and genetic testing for common equine conditions. Foals are raised in open pasture settings where they learn basic handling and develop confidence around people through daily interactions. The farm’s emphasis on balanced nutrition, gentle training methods and consistent turnout supports strong bone structure and calm temperaments.

Several of his horses have earned recognition at regional draft horse shows for their steady work ethic and good manners under harness. Outside of the barn, he contributes horses to local riding therapy programs and maintains detailed animal records for transparent lineage tracking. His thoughtful approach reflects a lifelong commitment to the breed and its future.
