Pashlay Pastures

Pashlay Pastures Murray Grey cattle, Sprakers, New York, in the Mohawk Valley near Albany. Pashlay Pastures is run by Clay and Patricia Oeser, whose family has raised Murray Grey cattle for more than a decade in line with American Murray Grey Association guidelines and regular herd health screenings.

The herd rotates across well-managed pastures year-round, and daily handling helps reinforce a calm disposition. Facilities include a simple open-sided barn with ample shade, fresh water stations and a clean bedding area to support calf growth and maternal bonding. Management practices emphasize rotational grazing and cover crops year-round to support pasture health and local biodiversity.

Their cattle have been exhibited at local county fairs, where judges note their consistent conformation and gentle temperament. Calves grow up alongside the Oesers’ small flock of sheep and frequent visits from children, which encourages early socialization.
