Pamela Field

Pamela Field raises shih tzus in Osprey, Florida, in the Sarasota area along Florida's Gulf Coast. Drawing on more than 25 years working in the veterinary and pet care field, she transitioned to a full-time home-based program where the dogs have free run of the house and sleep with the family each night.

Her daughter has joined the program, and together they maintain five dams representing a range of colors — deep red, black, cream, black-and-white parti, and red-and-white parti — alongside three studs chosen to produce varied, striking color combinations. Selective pairings are made with coat color and build in mind, and adult size is estimated by tracking puppies from four to twelve weeks against the parents' known lines.

Each puppy leaves with a veterinary exam, age-appropriate vaccines, deworming, a fecal check, a health certificate, and AKC Reunite microchip registration with a prepaid lifetime enrollment. The program places shih tzu puppies in the Sarasota region on a pet-only basis, and the same in-home, family-first approach extends to the golden retriever and standard poodle lines also bred here.
