Oler Farm

Oler Farm raises Shorthorn cattle in Economy, IN, Wayne County and the Whitewater Valley near Richmond. With over 25 years of breeding experience, it is a longtime member of the American Shorthorn Association and conducts annual health screenings on its herd.

The cattle graze on rotational pastures and have daily access to clean water and shade, reflecting a commitment to natural husbandry and socialization for calmer temperaments. Steve Oler follows low-stress handling methods and works closely with a local veterinarian for routine wellness checks and preventive care. Calves are introduced to group pens early to foster strong social bonds and even temperaments. All livestock receive balanced rations of locally sourced hay and mineral supplements to support steady growth and reproductive health. A small on-site processing facility ensures consistent quality control, and several animals have been recognized at county fairs for their conformation and gentle disposition.
