Northfield Farm

Northfield Farm breeds Shire horses in Cornish, ME, serving York County and southern Maine near Portland. Its owner, Kerri Brainard, has more than 15 years of experience breeding Shire horses and holds active membership in the American Shire Horse Association and the local equestrian council. Every horse receives scheduled veterinary exams, farrier visits, and genetic testing for known traits and conditions common to the breed. Northfield Farm’s approach combines regular turnout with individualized handling to cultivate well-balanced, trainable horses suited to both farm work and public exhibition.

Rolling fields and mature hardwood groves border the pastures around the classic red barn, offering a peaceful setting for daily grazing and socialization.
