Noack Herefords has been raising registered Hereford cattle in Rockdale, Texas, since 1921, making it one of the longest-running Hereford operations in central Texas. The ranch was founded by E.H. Noack, who registered the 7- brand, and has continued across multiple generations with a consistent focus on functional, profitable cattle.

The breeding philosophy at Noack Herefords centers on the idea that form follows function — that the most structurally correct cows are also the most productive. From early on, the operation prioritized maternal traits including birth weight, milking ability, and longevity, with an emphasis on creating a dependable mama cow. The ranch was an early adopter of the Total Performance Registry Program through the American Hereford Association.

Today the operation in Milam County, about an hour northeast of Austin, is structured as three cooperating cow herds that share genetics and marketing efforts.
