Mount Bethel Poodles

Mount Bethel Poodles raises standard poodles with more than two decades of hands-on experience, operating across homes in New Jersey, Tennessee, and Kentucky. Darcy Kallus is part of the team behind the program, which is connected to Toms River, NJ and the broader mid-Atlantic region.

The program places a strong emphasis on breed type, sound structure, and stable temperament, and adheres closely to the AKC breed standard. Health testing is thorough, and dogs have earned AKC champion titles in conformation. Puppies have gone on to careers in obedience, agility, rally, scent work, and service roles including diabetic alert and seizure alert work. The program also breeds Lagotto Romagnolo under the Mount Bethel Lagotti banner.

Each puppy receives temperament evaluation using the Volhard method and a structural assessment to guide placement into companion, performance, conformation, or select service-dog homes. Puppies are vaccinated following Dr. Jean Dodds' protocol, examined by a veterinarian before going home, and microchipped with AKC Reunite.
