MM Miniature Jerseys is a small family farm raising fainting (myotonic) goats outside of Effingham, Illinois, in the heart of central Illinois roughly an hour east of Decatur. Mark Haarman and his family first discovered the myotonic breed in 2009, drawn in by the goats' distinctive fainting trait.

The farm operates as a working agricultural operation, with grain farming and custom baling alongside the goat herd. Haarman has made a point of traveling across multiple states to source genetics and improve the quality of the herd over the years. Raising fainting goat kids in Illinois is very much a family effort here, with the next generation growing up learning the rhythms and responsibilities of farm life firsthand.
