Misty Morning Limousin

Misty Morning Limousin is a Limousin cattle breeder in Versailles, Missouri, in the Lake of the Ozarks near Jefferson City. Founded by James D Herr in 2008, the family-run farm has bred thoughtful genetics with a focus on fertility, growth and maternal traits. It holds American Limousin Association membership, adheres to recommended vaccination schedules, and follows standard health testing for BVD and Johne’s disease.

Calves are raised on rotational pastures and receive daily handling to ensure a calm disposition. Breeding cows graze on mixed-grass fields all year, and calving pens are sanitized between each use. A reputation for consistent muscle structure led to recognition at regional shows, and several heifers have placed in the youth division. Hand-selected bulls are evaluated for both structural soundness and docility before joining the herd. The farm spans 150 acres, combining open barns with fresh bedding and seasonal shelter for winter comfort.
