Minor Limousin

Minor Limousin raises registered Limousin cattle in Strafford, Missouri, a small community just east of Springfield in the heart of the Ozarks. Caleb Minor first started working with the breed in 2004 through an FFA project, and what began as a pair of commercial cows has grown into a dedicated purebred cow-calf operation.

The program carries fullblood, purebred, and Lim-Flex cattle, with a particular emphasis on developing well-rounded individuals suited for the show ring as well as the commercial herd. Temperament is a noted priority — the operation focuses on cattle that are calm and manageable, a trait the Minors view as non-negotiable for a working program. Genetics from Pinegar Limousin form a meaningful part of the herd foundation, including their lead donor female, MINO Fiona 001F, acquired in 2018.

Minor Limousin has shown cattle at national-level events and consigns to several prominent Limousin sales across the country. Caleb also serves as Treasurer of the Missouri Limousin Breeders Association and as a board member for the Heart of Missouri sale, reflecting the operation's involvement beyond the farm itself.
