Millennium Farms

Millennium Farms are breeders of Tunis sheep in Atlanta, IN, east central Indiana near Indianapolis. They follow recommended guidelines for health testing and maintain detailed records to support genetic diversity within their flock. All breeding stock undergoes regular parasite screening and foot trimming to support flock health year-round. The sheep graze on mixed pasture and experience daily handling to promote gentle temperaments and ease of management. They introduce lambs to family pets and children to encourage adaptable temperaments suited to varied farm settings.

Run by Kylie Schakel and Kaleb Schakel, the farm traces its roots to local agricultural traditions and blends modern husbandry with respect for heritage breeds. Their lambs consistently display robust growth and fine wool that appeals to both fiber artists and small-scale meat producers.
