Mighty Paws Manor raises AKC-registered longhaired dachshunds in Pryor, Oklahoma, a small town in the northeast corner of the state roughly an hour from Tulsa. Jackie King's program grew from a personal connection to the breed, beginning with the purchase of an AKC-registered longhaired dachshund from a Texas breeder in 2017, with the first litter following around 2020.

Puppies are raised inside the home in a dedicated dog room, giving them early exposure to everyday household life. Socialization is a deliberate part of the program, with pups introduced to family members ranging from young children to older adults, as well as other dogs in the household, and are conditioned to wearing a collar before going home. Embark DNA testing covering more than 250 genetic health markers is completed on each litter, and vaccinations are administered by a licensed veterinarian prior to placement.
