Midwestragdolls

Midwest Ragdolls has been raising ragdoll cats in Elburn, Illinois, west of Chicago, since the mid-1990s. Owner Jennifer Creed is a practicing small animal veterinarian, and the cattery is a family operation run alongside her children.

The program carries TICA-registered lines and draws from champion bloodlines, including both traditional colorpoint patterns and mink variations in seal, blue, and lilac. Health screening covers HCM, hip dysplasia, PKD, PK deficiency, PRA, and regular testing for FeLV and FIV, with a written health guarantee accompanying each kitten. Breeding cats are also DNA tested for cardiac disease through an outside laboratory and screened by cardiologist ultrasound.

Kittens grow up inside the home and are socialized daily with children, dogs, and other cats. That in-home setting, combined with Dr. Creed's veterinary background, shapes the focus of the program: producing ragdoll kittens for sale in the Chicago area that are sound in both health and temperament before they go to their new families.
