Meadow Brook Farm

Meadow Brook Farm is a Golden retriever breeder in Ellington, CT, serving Northeast Connecticut near Hartford. Glenn Bahler has been breeding golden retrievers for several years, following American Kennel Club standards and conducting routine health screenings for hips, elbows and eyes.

Puppies are raised in a family home with daily socialization, exposure to other pets and short car rides to ease the transition to their new families. The farm’s setup includes indoor playrooms and secure outdoor runs on five acres, allowing each puppy room to explore safely.

Many Meadow Brook Farm alumni have gone on to become therapy dogs or family companions, reflecting a focus on temperament as much as appearance. Visitors often comment on the calm, attentive care each puppy receives during regular farm visits. Health records and pedigrees accompany each puppy, ensuring transparency at every stage. Litters are planned around health and compatibility, with clear lineage and stable temperaments as guiding priorities.
