McClintock Herefords

McClintock Herefords, Hereford cattle, San Angelo, TX, are operated by David T. Moore and Debbi Moore. With more than two decades of breeding experience and membership in the American Hereford Association, they adhere to industry-recommended health screening for calving ease and genetic soundness. They raise stock on the grass-fed pastures of Tom Green County and the Concho Valley near Midland.

Calves are introduced to visitors early for socialization, and all cattle graze rotationally to support herd health. Several of their bulls have recorded above-average expected progeny differences for weight gain and carcass quality, reflecting their commitment to long-term herd improvement. Their cattle are wintered in drylot with free access to shelter and a balanced ration overseen by a local nutritionist. The farm’s roots date to the early 1970s, when David’s parents began raising registered Herefords on native grassland, a tradition the current owners continue. Records for calving ease and growth are maintained through certified data programs.
