Matoskah Meadows Labradors

Matoskah Meadows Labradors raises AKC bench-bred Labrador retrievers on a 40-acre farm in South Lyon, Michigan, about 30 minutes northwest of Ann Arbor. Owner Erica Wiethe has been involved with the breed since childhood and began helping plan breedings and whelp litters in 2005 through a family friend's program. Her own breeding program launched in 2010, and after a deliberate pause to establish the farm and family, she returned to producing health-tested Labrador retriever puppies in Michigan with a renewed focus on purpose-bred dogs.

The program specializes in black and yellow Labradors, including the fox red shade of yellow, and all dogs are raised indoors as full members of the household. Erica has expanded her credentials in the canine field through work as a grooming assistant, kennel technician, veterinary assistant, and canine behaviorist, and she holds an Approved AKC CGC Evaluator designation. The farm also keeps horses, reflecting a broader working-animal lifestyle that shapes the hands-on, purposeful approach Matoskah Meadows brings to its Labrador retriever breeding program.
