Magnolia Havanese

Magnolia Havanese, run by Cassie Keeling, breeds Havanese puppies in Lafayette, Louisiana, in the heart of Acadiana about an hour west of Baton Rouge.

Health testing sits at the center of the program. Breeding dogs are screened for hereditary conditions following the Havanese Club of America's recommendations, with results registered through the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals. Beyond those standard screens, sires and dams undergo DNA testing covering more than 190 genetic and hereditary disorders, which informs how pairings are made. Puppies are registered with the AKC.

All dogs and puppies are raised inside the home and socialized alongside children, keeping early development grounded in everyday family life. Each puppy leaves with a veterinary examination record and a two-year health guarantee, giving new families documented confidence in their dog's start.
