Mae Boerboel

Mae Boerboel raises Boerboel dogs in Manitowoc, WI, serving Manitowoc County and Green Bay. Danielle Vonau applies her background in livestock care to maintain breed standards and health screenings recommended by leading working dog associations.

Our Boerboel dogs live as part of the family, growing accustomed to daily routines and quiet farm chores through early socialization at home. Health screenings for hips, elbows, heart and eyesight are performed by independent veterinarians before puppies join their new families. Following guidelines from national working dog clubs, our program emphasizes temperament, structural soundness and lifelong health.

Litters arrive in a busy home environment with children, other household pets and familiar sounds to help with gentle exposure. Ongoing support is offered to each puppy owner throughout the dog’s first year, including regular health check-ins. Danielle enjoys sharing updates and celebrating milestones with new families as each young Boerboel grows.
