Black Iron Boerboels

Black Iron Boerboels is a Boerboel breeder in Fairmount, IN, east central Indiana near Muncie. Shelby Flynn founded the program in 2016 and has since maintained membership in national and regional breed clubs, with all breeding stock tested for hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia and cardiac health. Each dog lives on a family farm where daily socialization, structured exercise and quiet rest are balanced to support stable temperaments and consistent growth.

Puppies spend their early weeks on soft flooring, with exposure to basic obedience tasks, varied sounds and handling by family members. Outdoor playtime in fenced paddocks encourages physical confidence and introduces simple agility elements that later support more advanced training. Black Iron Boerboels also offers occasional guided visits for families to observe routines and learn about long-term care and social needs of the breed.
