Lucy's Sheep Camp
Lucy's Sheep Camp raises Teeswater sheep in Thermopolis, WY, in Hot Springs County and the Big Horn Basin near Cody. Billie Jo Norsworthy has been breeding Teeswater sheep for more than a decade, participates in national registry programs, and conducts regular fleece quality testing with a local veterinarian.
The flock grazes on open pastures at the foot of scenic Wind River cliffs, with sturdy shelters crafted from reclaimed timber. Lambs are gently socialized through daily handling while flock health is overseen by monthly hoof checks and seasonal parasite management. Farm workshops on fleece care have earned positive feedback for blending hands-on instruction with respect for traditional fiber arts.
The historic barn, once central to early homesteading efforts, now serves as a venue for seasonal shearings that connect modern growers with local heritage. Thoughtful breeding practices aim to preserve the breed’s hallmark lustrous locks and calm temperament in each new lambing season.
